McCoy Motorsports Shop Z-10 Details

Finally getting a chance to update from our test session with the z10 the other night at 304 Motorsports Park and talk about z10 development.. So when we at McCoy Motorsports start developing these platforms the goal is to push all aspects of the machine so we know all the weak links and as we find them, we can make a superior product/part or solution to handle the platforms needs at that certain level of performance. That way when you the customer are wanting a certain amount of performance out of your machine we have a sound solution thats proven we know works and not just a part your hoping the best for.. We partner with Boost Built Performance on the development of the machine but especially for the factory MG1 ECU tuning files for our shop z10 and each specific z10 tuning files we use specifically for our McCoy Motorsports staged packages.. We also Partnered with STM Powersports clutches that’s been a game changer for our racing program that will absolutely translate to you the customer from trail to race track packages that we’ll have specific clutch tuning set ups for each application to help achieve your clutching goals..

We are still a little bit away from having some of these parts on the shelf and ready for mail order files but are most definitely getting close and have in house tuning available now!

This was the first trip to the track with this very mild set up and we’re super pleased with the results but still not where we want to be with this combination. Our last pass of the night when we were chopping numbers was on a back to back run from a pick up truck dragging water on the track with 0 cool down time. (But huge thank you to 304 Motorsports Park for giving us another opportunity regardless!) We picked up .6 on the 60ft from our 3.07 pass but the high iat’s had us down on power unfortunately but still went a 3.08 0-60..If the weather holds we’ll be back out asap to go even faster..
